Luc invests in early-stage medical technology companies driven by a lifelong fascination with both healthcare and technology. Growing up in a household where his mother worked as a nurse and his father taught physics and chemistry, he was early exposed to the realities of care delivery and the potential of technology to improve it. That intersection has shaped his conviction to build a career focused on advancing medical innovation that truly works in practice.
Luc brings deep technological and medical expertise combined with a system-level understanding of healthcare innovation. This enables him to help founders translate strong science and technology into clear long-term strategies, structured development roadmaps, and credible paths toward clinical adoption and reimbursement.
Before joining BVP, Luc was a senior manager in KPMG’s Health & Life Sciences strategy practice, where he advised governments, payers, providers, and MedTech and Biopharma companies on strategy, negotiations, and commercialization.
Outside of work, Luc spends much of his time with his children, often playing football or hide-and-seek in the garden.
Luc holds an MSc and PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, with research conducted at Philips Research and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
