Kim is driven by a lifelong motivation to build businesses that matter and make the world of tomorrow a better place. With 25 years of finance and investment experience, she combines a deep understanding of fund management and direct investment strategies with a strong track record in early-stage impact investing.

Within the current Agrifood Fund, Kim has built a relevant early-stage portfolio with the potential to significantly contribute to a future-proof agrifood system. Coming from an entrepreneurial agricultural family, the sector is close to her heart; she believes food plays a crucial role in reconnecting us with nature and our own well-being. She is excited to co-build a future for next generations where farmers play a key role and where everybody can thrive.

Before joining BVP, Kim was the Fund Manager of the Triodos Renewables Europe Fund. Her previous experience includes serving as Vice President of Trade & Commodity Finance and Credit Analyst for Central & Eastern European countries at ING, providing her with a robust international financial perspective.

When she is not chasing the next agrifood innovation, Kim spends her time enjoying nature through hiking and skiing. She finds balance by reading and cooking with ingredients from her own vegetable garden.

Kim holds a Master’s degree in Financial Sector Management from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
