Healthplus.ai selected for the Mayo Clinic Platform Accelerate multiyear pathway

BVP portfolio company Healthplus.ai has joined the October 2026 cohort of Mayo Clinic Platform Accelerate, the largest cohort in the program’s history. Of the 31 companies, six were selected for the multiyear pathway, Healthplus.ai among them. The other 25 follow the 30-week accelerator track. Since its launch in 2022, Accelerate has supported more than 130 companies worldwide.

The multiyear pathway gives Healthplus.ai up to two years of access to Mayo Clinic Platform’s de-identified clinical data environment, its advisors and ongoing technical support. The aim is to develop PERISCOPE® further and prepare it for deployment in US clinical practice. For Healthplus.ai, this is a meaningful step on its path to the US market.

The clinical problem is late detection. Infections are among the most frequent complications after surgery, and they are often recognised only once symptoms appear. That leads to readmissions, longer hospital stays and extra costs. PERISCOPE is a CE-certified AI medical device that predicts which patients will develop an infection after surgery, days before symptoms appear. It runs inside the hospital’s electronic health record and uses data the hospital already collects. This lets surgical teams act earlier and plan discharge with more confidence.
